Why is there no such thing as a natural disaster? Because the root causes are always human-made. And that means it’s also up to us to prevent disasters.

In the latest episode of his series, The Science of Disasters, Professor Ilan Kelman explains why vulnerabilities rather than hazards cause disasters, and what we can do about it.
